YANGFAN JIANG

Pain

From a young age, I often found myself being held accountable for situations at home, whether or not I was at fault. My early memories are filled with unhappiness, and hearing peers discuss their positive family dynamics, especially during parent-teacher conferences, often triggers reflections on my own challenging experiences. While I used to console myself by believing that these actions were a form of care, this mindset has lost its effectiveness over time. Struggling to express my emotions verbally, I have turned to painting as a way to communicate my feelings and work toward improving my relationships. This creative outlet allows me to process and convey what words cannot, offering a path toward healing and understanding.
